Residential Treatment Program for Adults
Mosaic Wellness & Recovery provides residential programming for adults struggling with mental health conditions, addictions, and co-occurring disorders. Our tailored treatment plans are designed to meet the unique needs of each person that seeks our help.
Mosaic Wellness & Recovery offers individuals and families residential treatment that specialize in evidence-based, compassionate care for mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
What Does Residential Rehab Look Like?
Residential treatment (also called residential rehab) is a level of treatment where a person lives at the facility 24/7 for three or more weeks. Instead of going home after sessions, clients stay on campus in a recovery-focused environment with round-the-clock support. Residential treatment typically includes:
- 24/7 supervision and support from clinical and residential staff
- A structured daily schedule of therapy, education, and wellness activities
- Shared living spaces that encourage peer support and accountability
- On-site medical and psychiatric care, when needed
- A recovery community where everyone is working toward sobriety
For many people, residential rehab provides a safe and structured environment that limits outside distractions and acts as a reset. This can lead to a more focused therapeutic experience, stronger foundation for longer-term recovery, and stability after leaving treatment.
Who Can Benefit From Residential Treatment?
Our goal at Mosaic Wellness & Recovery is to determine what level of care best fits the needs of those that need our help. Residential programming is considered a higher-level of treatment and requires a longer commitment than other treatments. Residential rehab might be the right fit for individuals that find themselves in any of the following scenarios:
- Have an existing mental health diagnosis and are struggling with day-to-day life.
- Have trauma-related symptoms (e.g., hypervigilance, panic, nightmares) or severe anxiety/depression that feels unmanageable.
- Have tried other treatments programs/centers but are still struggling.
- Need a safe place away from triggers, unhealthy relationships, or unsafe situations.
- Are using substances to numb your pre-existing mental health condition.
- Use alcohol or drugs daily or in large amounts
- Experience withdrawal symptoms when cutting back or stopping drugs or alcohol.
- Have limited support at home or feel isolated in their addiction
What Does A Day In Residential Rehab Look Like?
Most effective residential programs follow a highly structured daily routine that balances therapy, education, community, and rest. At Mosaic Wellness & Recovery, we believe that structure, balance, and participation are essential to successful treatment. A typical day might look like this (frequency varies based on clinical necessity):
- Wake-Up & Morning Routine: Simple structure helps re-establish healthy daily rhythms.
- Breakfast & Community Time: Mealtimes are an important place to practice communication and accountability.
- Morning Meditation or Mindfulness: Meditation, spiritual reflection, or grounding exercises to start the day present and focused.
- Primary Group Therapy Session: Morning groups are usually process-focused or psychoeducational. Topics may include:
- Understanding addiction and the brain
- Coping with cravings
- Emotions and stress management
- Relapse prevention skills
This daily rhythm helps clients rebuild structure, connect with others, and practice new coping skills in a safe, substance-free setting.
The Role of Community in Residential Treatment
One of the greatest strengths of residential rehab is the therapeutic community itself. Recovery does not happen in isolation, being surrounded by others who understand can be life-changing.
- In a strong residential community, clients:
- Share living spaces and daily routines, learning cooperation and accountability
- Practice communication, conflict resolution, and boundary-setting
- Receive feedback and encouragement from peers who see their progress up close
- Build genuine friendships that often last far beyond discharge
Over time, many people move from feeling ashamed and alone to feeling seen, supported, and connected. This experience of community is often what makes recovery feel not only possible, but worthwhile.
Continuing Care Options After Residential Rehab
Residential programming is often the beginning of the recovery journey. Mosaic Wellness & Recovery understands that successful treatment often includes lower levels of care post the completion of residential care. Our full continuum of services includes:
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- Evening Outpatient Program
- Standard Outpatient & Continuing Therapy
- Sober Living / Recovery Housing
Mosaic works with you to map out a continuum of care, from detox (when needed), to residential rehab, to step-down programs, so you’re not left wondering “what comes next?”
